“CLUB REC” is a unique, non traditional program that helps kids learn:

• How to think on their feet
• How to anticipate problems and possible solutions
• How to negotiate with peers
• How to think creatively and critically
• How to make friends AND keep them

All while they are having FUN !!!

Based on the concept of “community as laboratory” CLUB REC acknowledges that children, all children, need to know and feel that they belong; that they are in on things; that they are valued. It also recognizes the importance of peer relationships and the “feedback” they provide as integral to teaching appropriate social behaviors. The programs and specials offered are based on years of experience and years of conversations with parents, children and teachers.

Programs which seek to develop a wide variety of interests, skills and opportunities in the areas of choice-making, independence, self-expression and self-representation along with the opportunity to use them are absolutely essential and basic to full citizenship.
